I was informed this afternoon of the death of Mrs. Frances Harding Casstevens. She was a personal friend, and Yadkin County's premier historian and author. She wrote several books about the War For Southern Independence, and two collections of Yadkin Valley ghostly legends. Frances will be missed amongst historians, and all who knew her. We go on in the knowledge that she has been reunited at last with her beloved husband, parents, and other loved ones who passed before. God bless, Frances, and good night for now...

Oh my, she was so sweet when we saw her at B& N. I really hate to hear this. She will be greatly missed to all that knew her.

Thanks, Bec. My uncle told me this morning that he was wrong about her having siblings, as, like me, she is an only child. Sorry for any confusion this caused...
