Apparently, someone DID ask, and were rather shrtly rebuffed. It's just the old Hampton Homeplace. Stories of murder and mayhem may be safely ignored...

This is joe71c10/pitchblack Forgot login info for both accts so posting as a guest for now.... Hampton House: Elsie Hughes (my wife's grandmother now deceased) knew the people (or actually, the Doctor) who built the home. From what she told us, and my fuzzy memories of, it is SAID that it is in fact haunted. However, before the new owners moved in I had the chance to go there a few times (many years ago). Nothing ever happened. Just a very creepy looking old house with lots of empty beer cans and bottles laying around. Bryan Center: For anyone wanting to try and go there.... The last time i was there just over a year ago there weren't any no trespassing signs. It has been vandalized quite badly and apparently quite often. It is on a hill overlooking I85 BUSINESS just north of Lexington on the left side. Just across from the road to access it is an empty car lot also on a hill and an old furniture store that looks more like an old roadside inn. The road leading left and up the hill to the center is blocked off by a tree but there is a dirt path you can drive up to go to the driveway directly in front of the building. Be careful inside since local bums have used it as a place to sleep and other less than legal things. Lots of broken glass too. I also would ask anyone and everyone here to help advertise this site so that maybe one day it will not be as "dead" as the ghosts listed here. Tell your friends, post on your facebook page, whatever you can do. It would be nice to have a local resource for paranormal enthusiasts to post and not wait for over a year for a response.

How many times have you been to the Brian Center? Our team has investigated there several times, and each time we get some great evidence. If you have permission to go there at night, I highly recommend it. The homeless only occupy the outside of the building, and will not go inside at night. We have caught EVP's, disembodied voices, and have had things including or gear tossed around. Not to mention massive K-2 hits. We did a spirit box session, and received nothing but intelligent responses to our questions. You really should give this place another chance.

I will have to check this out!

The Brian Ctr in Winston, or is there another? The Hampton House eerily resembles the Dalton-Hunt House in Courtney-Huntsville...

Try the community college. There is an old school building across from the nature trail that once was used to worship Satan. The college had to put a lock on it to keep kids out. There is a faint pentagram on the floor and ruins written all over the the chalk board. The Gee building, PSS, The Love building, the sinclair, and Mendenhall are all Haunted. I worked at the college and KNOW for a fact that it is a well of activity. Oh the Daycare also has activity but no one usually pays attention to the kids when they see something there. I lived in a house on Kaye drive down behind Central. I have loads of stories about that place. I returned there as an adult to "face the demons of my past" and spirits came home with me. Anyone know which house I'm talking about. It was the one in the curve that had so many wrecks at. The local "dead man's curve". my friend and i love going into old houses, and we went in the house down behind central, i think we had to be there for 7 minutes tops. we walked in and we both seen the steps and knew that there was just something about those steps. but i would absolutly love to hear your stories about that house. thanks.

So I live in Thomasville now I grew up in Silver Valley/ Denton. I'd have to say if you want to see something there is a street in Denton (Can't remember the name.) The KKKs main house is on that road. There's white crosses on trees and everywhere around the house. There's also a huge fence covering the house. It's creepy at night. It's still in use though so I wouldn't stop if I was you unless you know somebody in it. Denton is very small has alot of creepy history google some of it and you will be surprised at what you find. Somethings you might be able to go check out for yourself where as others...I wouldn't suggest it due to the old owners, some older people in Denton can be very mean. But anyways just google Denton, NC haunted history. You'll find alot more than you think. (:

There is one place that I'm wondering if others have ever heard of anything about. It is a house on Kay Drive. I lived there for four years and I can go on for hours about what all happened in that house. I've been told that folks move in and out of that place all of the time (Which I can believe) but have not been able to get it confirmed.
The type of activity that was there were levitations, lights going on and off (including seeing he switch being moved so not an electrical surge), knives floating in mid-air, pinching, being kicked out of bed, my brother's bb gun would go off in his room when all occupants were in the living room, audiable voices... You get the idea. Oh, did I mention that we found an alter up in the crawl space/attic complete with animal skulls and all?
I went back there in 2004 but did not go in. My sister went there and walked by it on the road. Well, SHE stayed on the road but I walked on the grass. We were standing within arms reach of one another and my breath was coming out in icy puffs (at 10 am) but hers did not. We had the distinct feeling that we were being watched as well.
Long story short; for the next seven months I had activity in my own house until I was finally able to banish the entity from my house. So, anyone else know of the house in the curve on Kay Drive. By looking it up it would appear that it is up for sale(AGAIN). I wonder if the current owners would allow a walk through.

Dead Time ios bunk. That's all TV. Paranormal activity can happen anywhere, anytime, day or night. Remember... GHOSTS DON'T WEAR WATCHES!

I'm not sure if it's technically inside Davidson County or not, but the railroad tracks at the Tuckertown Dam in Denton was a bust for my team. We spent several hours there one night and walked about 6 miles down the tracks, and the most evidence we got were *possible* cold spots, but when you're that close to the water, it's probably just moist, dense air. I'm not saying it definitely ISN'T haunted, because I've only investigated there once; it may just have been that it wasn't active that night. I've since heard that there's an old, overgrown cemetery somewhere in the woods by the railroad tracks near the Tuckertown Dam, but IDK exactly where it is. I may be able to find out, if anyone's interested.
I've recently been told that the Mt. Ebal church and the old Brian Center in Lexington are creepy (I've heard of the abandoned Brian Center before, but I just recently heard of Mt. Ebal church), and I hope to possibly investigate those locations sometime.
