Welcome, Dragon! It's really too bad that people think we're kinda nuts, but you'd really be surprised at the number of people that will open up about experiences if their approached right or don't feel like they're going to be laughed at.
I've often wondered if it's because the population is getting older; over the years they've been more likely to have experienced something unexplainable.

Well hello, Bec! There's alot of people that have joined since I've been out and about dealing with RL stuff. It's good to see things picking up around here! We love opinions and new insights on pictures, stories, etc around here, Dragon, you should fit in perfectly . Does anyone know if we're planning anything large scale since the weather is finally getting better (and warmer) around here? We're starting to get a broad base of members, would love to see some large scale hunts..lol. Looking forward to meeting you all soon! Amanda Forsyth C. Leader

They will ALWAYS think we're a little nuts... UNTIL something happens to THEM!!! Anyway, who really cares what "they" think. We all know we're OK! ;-)

Yeah they all point fingers and laugh until a spirit shoves.......well lets just say they stop laughing and pointing! Anyways it takes someone that is truly intelligent to accept and understand the paranormal and all it entails. Two thumbs up to us all ,we are special and not the short bus type of special lol.

Bec Davidson County Leader I have tried to get something happening in my area, I posted that I live in NC, in Craven County, but never got any feedback so I was under the impression that there aren't any others from my area......I would still like very much to have a group from the Craven/Beaufort/Pamlico County area.........what should I do???

Well, as far as I can tell that means you have Beaufort & Hyde between the nearest chapter.(check out our map on the hunt page) Let's see I hope I don't mess this up...Tony is in Onslow Co. Chad is in Chowan Co. Illyria & Caroleve are in Dare Co. These are just what I have. Please feel free to email Eikon, he will help you if he can. Also contact any of these people, I am sure that they would love to have you join them. You can find them in the members forum. I hope this will help & as always Good Luck & Happy Haunting!

Greetings, I just found the site today! I currently live in Florida, but I am from Farmington in Davie County. I have experienced some very strange things in the Farmington/Huntsville area, and these occurances appear to go back at least to my grandparents generation. Over the years I have spoken to many people in the area, but it was only recently that I decided to do some "formal" research. I ran across books by Francis Casstevens, and one of the descriptions had the intriguing statement that the Yadkin Valley area was known for strange occurances. I was elated to find that I was not alone in my experiences. I tried to contact Mrs. Cassstevens via her website to purchase several of her books, without success as the email is apparently not valid. But then I decided to search on the internet, and while googling NC ghosts and to my delight I discovered GHNC!
