finding it hard to find any info on this myself. talked to a young firefighter, that said he was hunting in the area 5-6 years ago, he did have an experience, i take him at his word at this point. Said the man who owned the property had moved away, a couple of years ago. still no names or addresses does make it hard.

I went to this house last night and have been there many times. I am an avid ghost hunter and it takes alot to scare me. This hose scares the ever loving hell out me. Im terrified of it. The house is located almost 1/4 mile from reese dam. If you go across the bridge where the dam is and the dam is to your right the house will be around the curve on your right. If you go at night you cant see the house because it is covered up with treees. There will be a driveway that is hard to see at the road but you can barley pull up in it because it has a cable across it. Pull up park and walk straight ahead. You will see a circle of trees growing in the field. The house is there. Be careful in this house because it is very old and starting to shift. You can walk around to the side of the house on go on the back porch because the front porch is caved in. We have some awesome evps from this location. My wife was asking what her name was and the responce we got was molly. If anyone needs any help finding it i will be more than glad to help you. I had a fully charged camera and it died after 10 pictures at this location. A lot of websites says the upstairs is blocked off but that is untrue you are able to go upstairs and downstairs in the house. Happy Hunting.

Sounds cool, Turbo.
I think I may make this one next on my list. Interesting story, seems to go way back. I was reading old threads looking for ideas for an adventure when I came upon this one. I just found out about it yesterday, and was trying to locate it with little success. Had been trying to find it on googlemaps and with the help of this and other websites finally did. Then I came back to check here and you had posted. I don't like to park right on the road because I try not to attract attention. How far up the drive can you go before the cable blocks it?

You have just enough room to pull the car into the driveway. The land is not posted so it should be no problem. We go to this location alot and no one has ever said anything so i wouldnt worry.

Have you ever checked out the barn in the woods behind the house? I saw it on Googlemaps. From the streetview, you can't really see a wire, but I'll take your word for it. When I was looking for the Devil's Cave/Limerock Quarry google street view showed an unobstructed dirt road, but it turned out to have a pretty sizeable gate. Google maps makes it a little easier to plan your trip, but is no substitute for experience.

no i have never been to the barn but i know its there. My cousin lives very close to this hosue and hes the one that told me about the barn being there. He said they ride horses up in there and hes been in the barn and its just full of hay. No you cant see the cable in the picture because i think its an older picture before they put it up there. I woud like to check out the barn as well. Let me know if you do.

visited this house yesterday. very secluded and run down. No experiences out of the ordinary, although I did see two moderately sized snake skins upstairs.
I'd say the East Bend farmhouse is in better shape--parts of walls are missing and the kitchen area is about to collapse. The front porch is fallen in and the house is only accessible from the back. Didn't make it to the barn, but it looks like someone is using it because the grass is matted down by either vehicles or as turbo said horses. There were lots of broken mason jars upstairs, maybe from moonshine?
Cool location overall but we didn't experience anything.

A wire across the driveway says to me that whoever owns that place doesn't want anyone going up to this house. I must emphasize again. it is ALWAYS best to secure permission from owners before investigating a property, even if it appears abandoned. All it takes is a little papersearch at the Register Of Deeds to find owners. IF THEY SAY NO, LISTEN TO THEM! people who go sneaking around often cause big problems for legitimate researchers. And if you get hurt on someone else's property, and you don't have proper permission, YOU ARE SCREWED!

you go ALL the way down jackson creek rd and its a house off the side of the road(if your coming down it will be on your right and easy to spot). it has a wire cable in front of it. so does the house right beside it so make sure you get the right house. there is a pull off to the left where you can park your car. but be careful. no trespassing signs are posted. i have been here myself but i cant recall exactly what the place even looked like inside. i just know there was handprints on the fireplace but the definently looked like red paint! good luck =]
