This cemetary is off Brief Road in Northern Union County. It is the oldest cemetary in Union County and has it's share of orbs and mists. It is small and wouldnt take much to check out. Lots of cool evp happen there as well. I am the skeptical type but that place has moving shadows and makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. If you go you should also research Frocky Jack Morgan. He is supposed to haunt the bridge below there.

Frocky Jack had a shack just down the road from the cemetery. If you head towards Sikes Mill rd from 601 you will pass the cemetery, then Hopewell Church Rd, then you will cross the bridge. Frocky Jack's shack was in the woods just before the bridge. He was murdered in the shack by robbers who were looking for his gold or money he was supposed to have there since he didn't trust the banks. I grew up around there, the woods around there are unusual. My horse wouldn't go in them, neither would my dog. My dad told me he and his best friend were pelted with rocks while swimming in the creek below Mr. Morgan's shack. I've seen a man in what looked to me like a broad rimmed farm hat and a rain slicker. There are always whispers in the woods but I never made out any words. Union cemetery never disappoints. Lots of shadow folk, orbs, mists, and voices. The woods on the other side of the field behind the cemetery has a large rock pile that is supposed to be an Native American burial site. You can sometimes hear yells and screams coming from there at night.

Jack Morgan aka "Frocky Jack" was nicknamed by the some in that community because he wore a long shirt that hung just below his knees with pockets on the front. On his feet he wore lace up boots. The house was on the corner of Hopewell Church and Brief rd. When I was a child my grandfather went to see him and I remember he and his sister Laura and a little chi Wawa dog. They were very nice and knew my grandparents well or at least my grandfather Sandy Ross. I remember the smell of the home as it was not painted inside and seemed dark which was not unusual for the time. It was a small frame house with no electricity from what I remember. Previously from what my grandparent told me there had been a log home nearby that they grew up in prior to the house that I knew. I know people don't remember but in the early 1900's and before boys wore long shirts instead of pants quite often. After the war when he returned home, that remained his wardrobe of choice and what he obviously felt most comfortable in. It was not a dress but it was unusual that he preferred the long shirt over pants as he got older as most outgrew this garment.

our school bus used to go by his house when I was a kid back in the 60's. we would see him sometimes outside in his garden with the long frock (dress) on. I remember they got robbed & beat up, but I don't remember him being killed. after he passed I do remember there were pristine antiques found in his house & building that were auctioned off. I don't know if the house is still there but the bridge has been completely rebuilt. it used to be a small bridge on a sharp curve that some teenagers had a bad wreck & were killed there.
