Hello everyone, For some of you, you may remember me from years ago while I was quite active on this site. I met some pretty neat people outside of here and this is mainly where I got my start exploring the paranormal and going on investigations. I have been doing some investigations here and there for over 6 years and in this past year, I have put it all on hold to handle some personal issues. Now I am back and just checking out what has happened on here since I last posted. I am in Davidson Co. now and wondering if anyone knows anything about the Thomasville/Lexington area. I have only been here a little over three months and last weekend I went to Thomasville on Main St. to do the ghost walk. Some interesting stories there and while some said that I could find proof of them actually happening, it was interesting to learn about. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
Hey, I'm in a similar situation. I haven't done a formal investigation in several years, mainly due to lack of "new" locations to legally (or if not 100% legally, at least somewhere where the likelihood of being bothered by cops or locals is slim to none) investigate. Anyway, I'm in Rowan County, just a few minutes from Davie and Iredell Counties. I haven't done many investigations in the Lexington or Davidson County areas, but I did investigate a house in Spencer, NC, that seemed to be quite active. Unfortunately, this was several years ago, and I don't think it would be possible to go back there today. I also investigated at some railroad tracks in Denton, but none of my team encountered anything during the 3 hours we were there that would make me call it active. There's supposed to be an old cemetery off in the woods by the tracks that's supposed to be haunted also, but going to the tracks that night was a last-minute thing where we were somewhat unprepared, and we didn't find out about the cemetery until later. The only thing creepy we found that night was the people fishing all along the tracks (the tracks run alongside the lake), some of whom would shine their lights on us or follow us down the tracks. For that reason, it's not a place I'd recommend going alone. I've also investigated quite a few places around High Rock Lake, including Native American burial grounds, a cemetery where a boy was allegedly murdered, a field where a woman was allegedly murdered, and, of course, the infamous "Gravity Hill" (I wouldn't call that one an investigation, so much as a curiosity. I still don't believe anything paranormal is going on there, but we got some interesting results). We didn't get much credible evidence at any of the aforementioned locations around High Rock, but some gave more "personal experiences" than others, namely the cemetery where the boy was murdered and the field where the woman was murdered. One team member claimed to have extreme personal experiences at the Native American burial ground (being tripped, pushed, seeing shadow figures, hearing noises/voices, etc.), but I was next to him the entire time and experienced absolutely nothing, and none of the other team members did either, so take that for what you will. It could have been just him being singled out by "something", or simply an overactive imagination that night (it was out of character for him to just "lose his head" on an investigation, though, so I really don't know what to make of that, but from my personal experience, the place wasn't active at all).
As far as places closer to Lexington, there's the old, abandoned Brian Center (nursing home). I've never investigated here, but some people claim it's extremely active, while others say it's not even worth going to. Either way, from most accounts, there are hobos living there, and also a popular party spot for teenagers and drug users, so it may be another place to definitely NOT go alone, if you choose to go. My take is it's probably not worth it, between the squatters and other "living" entities that may be dwelling there (at the very least, they'll contaminate any evidence you get by moving around, making noises, etc., and, obviously, they could also cause physical harm if they chose to), not to mention dealing with possible trouble from law enforcement for being there. All this is why I haven't been there personally, but I do have some interest in the place. I believe there's also an old church in or around Lexington that's supposed to be haunted. Unfortunately, it was brought to my attention several years ago, and I can't remember the name of it now. I know that's extremely vague, but I never had much information on the church to begin with, other than the name of the church and a picture or two. I don't remember much about its appearance either, but I believe it was a white, wooden church, and it may have been restored or maintained by some sort of historical society. Maybe someone else will be able to help with identifying it.

Hello, I would have to agree other than the heptic stuff going on in my own life there hasn't been many places of interest to me to investigate. The last place that I have been to was back in July of 13 at St. Albans in Radford VA. It was quite interesting but old hospitals and mental institutions seem to bother me. Maybe because of the people that suffered there. Other than that, I have held off on trying to find or put my name back out there to let people know I am willing to investigate. I have done some private homes here and there as well as public places but I haven't had the chance to go back. There have been a few places I would really like to go back to. Got instance, back in 2008 I had the chance to go to Sciworks in Winston. Had a lot of stuff go on there and recorded a very nice EVP there. It is however a place of business and can understand they don't really want to be associated with the paranormal. Now that I am in a new location I know little about, I hope to start talking with the locals and research a bit.

Guest/Susan : [/b. Somehow I came across the title of this book and was looking to buy a copy. I checked my usual sources: Amazon, thrift books, etc. I was astonished that the book was selling for no less than $75. Now I was on the hunt....I had to read it.
