OK, i live in an area of nc named walnut-cove maybe 15 miles north of winston salem. There is a place around here where this man went crazy and murdered his whole family i am not sure of his name but i do know where this place is located and i hear a lot of freaky shit goes on there at night. You may want to check you local library for a book called "white christmas bloody christmas" this is the book on this murder. It's named that cause he killed all 5 of them on christmas day. Crazy shit aint it? I know that the book is located at the Library in King, NC.
Thanks, I hope you look into this.

Speaking of White Christmas, Bloody Christmas, I have been trying to find a telephone number or address for M. Bruce Jones or Trudy Smith, the authors.
I am interested in buying the copyright to the book and putting it back in print. But I have had a terrible time locating the authors and the original publisher is out of business!
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Shane Empire Books

The address printed in the front of the book for contact information is M. Bruce Jones 5507 Harvey Road Jamestown, NC 27282
Hopwe this helps. There are A LOT of people out there who would like to read it and haven't had the chance. Even the Public libraries copies are destroyed, lost, or stolen.

Do you know the exact location of the murder site? It is somewhere of Germanton road, correct. I live in greenesboro and know one of the lawson family members. I've been looking for the actual site thought.

In reply to the book "White Christmas, Bloody Christmas", the book was indeed written by Trudy Smith and her father Bruce Jones in 1990. Her father passed away in 2001. Trudy is now working on a new enlarged and revised edition which will be released around Christmas 2006. The new book "The Meaning of Our Tears" was actually named by an inscription on the Lawson's grave. My understanding is that the price of the book will be tentatively set at $39.95. The original book is very expensive to buy and I haven't seen a copy for less than $85.00. I know several people who have the book, but will not sell it. Anyway, hope this helps everyone....

The Lawson homesite doesn't really exist anymore. The house has been torn down, a new one built on the site. They current owners placed a flagpole at the corner of their garage to mark the location of the original house, and actually built a covered bridge across the creek using the salvagable lumber from the old house.
The Stokes News recently published that the book was being re-released, but my understanding is that the release is quite different from the original book. Like hycolakegal, I know several people with the book and you'd stand a better chance of getting their first born child than that book! I work at a local pharmacy in Walnut Cove, we still have the attached grill. (Those of you familiar with the area know where I'm talking about.) News doesn't stay quiet around here, and it's been quite a topic of conversation lately!
hycolakegal, I kind of keep an eye on copies of the original when they come up for sale. Have noticed that the price has dropped slightly since the news hit of a re-release. Actually have seen them in the low-mid 70's. Makes me want to hunt down my ex-room-mate who packed my copy with her stuff.
