Greetings all! I was just checking to see if this board was still alive and kicking or if had just gone dead. I live in central Nc and I am very active in paranormal investigations. Is there anyone else out here? Just answer here or email me. Thanks, DMF

I have lived near the Poinsett Bridge all my life (55 years. As far as ghost goes I have never seen one. Have heard several tales about the area. A tale about Camp Old Indian above the bridge and another about the hollow above that. When I was a Cub Scout leader and on a committee for Boy Scout Troop646 in Greer I took a training course at Camp White Pines, which is about 1 miles past Poinsett Bridge on the opposite side from Camp Old Indian. Doing this training we had to spend 2 nights in a tent. The legend is a headless rides down this road during the night. We did hear a horse trotting down the road during the night, but do not know if the rider was headless. From what I am told the community keeps the lengend alive. If you ever again decide to check out the area again and would like someone who knows the area please e-mail and let me know.

My dad was a Greenville Scout and did all of his scout stuff at Camp Ole Indian. Back in the early 80s I was involved in some Jr. Civitan camp experiences at another camp in the Cleveland area. This was just after the first Jason movie came out. This camp had a similar design to that one. Scary area because of the this forests, etc. I am originally from Greenville and know the Poinsett name. (Poinsett Hotel in Greenville is named for the same man as is the Poinsettia which is very popular around christmas. Ambassador Poinsett brought them back from Mexico.) Great site. One suggestion... Describe your pix. I would like to know more about the settings and events around each pic. Thanks Tom
