These are environmental orbs, caused by dust particles in the air. Here are some other examples of dust orbs: ncghost.com/img/Hunt7/03.jpgncghost.com/img/Hunt10/10.jpgTrue spirit orbs will be solid, not translucent, and will seem to have their own glow, separate from that caused by the camera flash. A good rule of thumb is to shine a flashlight in the air before taking pictures. If you can see dust particles in the flash light beam, they can show up in your photos. Examples of spirit orbs: ncghost.com/orbs.htmDon't get discouraged, though! Having pictures like these as a reference will help you later on when comparing them to the real thing.

I think I have made myself clear where i stand about orbs in the past but for the newer members. My simplified stance on orbs is that if you could not see it with your naked eye prior to taking the picture...it is not real. The 2nd orb law that Clifton mentioned in the previous post is by far the most important IT MUST EMIT ITS OWN LIGHT. Of course anything emitting light is going to catch your eye. I know some people are intrawled with orbs and base their whole investigations around them and that is fine for them but not for me. Anything that encourages that people to get out and hunt is welcomed however because one day someone is going to able to photograph something that will make your heart stop when you view the picture so if it orb hunting then so be it.

It is PG-F's stance, and the common one amongst scientific groups, that orbs are energy, pure and simple. I do not believe that orbs are a spirit in and of itself, but is a bundle of energy that something may draw upon to manifest itself.

I was wondering if you could tell me what you believe this to be in this picture. This a group picture of our BJJ school. If you look at the guy on the far left (your left) he has a very bright light on his chest. We do see alot of the dust specs in the pic to but this is very bright. His rashguard is plain without a reflective emblem on it. The "light" when blowed up is in front of him because it overlaps the gi. Another group photo was taken and the light is in front of him in that one as well and his posture is different. Thank you for taking the time.

No, we even looked for that. You can wear a necklace (aren't supposed) in BJJ because you could get choked, ripped off, mashed into you. Regardless we zoomed in and looked and there are no strings, chain or anything comming off from the area of light. The girl below him has an underarmour logo on her rash guard and it doesn't reflect. His rashguard is blank in the front.

If he is wearing the same thing as the young lady below him, the explanation for why his reflects and hers doesn't is simple photo mechanics. She is below the level of trueflash, while he is at the same level. Whatever that is, it is, without question, reflected light. I've been doing professional model photography for more than a decade now, and ghost hunting for even longer. While things like this do raise questions, there is a natural explanation for this one. Sorry. :-(

Not dissapointed by any means, as I stated in the reply above yours, his rashguard is blank and hers has the logo otherwise I would've chopped it up to freak angle and reflection of light. The rashguard/shirt he has on is solid black. Also the light goes overlaps the gi so I think it is fron of him and not on him.
